Ioannis "Yanni" was born in British Columbia to a Greek father and Portuguese mother.  His parents both worked and met in the same restaurant they now own today, The Diamond Steak and Seafood, in Osoyoos, BC.  Ioannis grew up in the kitchen making Greek food with his dad.  He learned valuable business skills, as well as culinary skills through the years.  And now, Ioannis has decided to carry on the family tradition, and is opening a Greek restaurant here in the Treasure Valley with his American family.  He and his wife, Amanda, have a blended family with nine kids, four dogs, and four chickens.  They reside in Nampa, Idaho, and have been hoping this authentic Greek cuisine is just what the area needs. They have reached out for feedback regarding where to open, and we were overwhelmed with responses to open in Nampa.  Therefore, Yanni's searched high and low for the perfect spot, and finally found one, with the help of community members.  We are working hard to set up for our guests and expect an opening date sooner than we anticipated, in early October.  Our location is by I-84 off the Franklin exit next to the Shilo Inn.  We appreciate your support already, and look forward to serving our friends in the Treasure Valley VERY SOON!  We love you!"
